Bell Helmets, distributed in the UK by Blackburn-based distributor Race FX, has made several upgrades to its street helmet line with the introduction of MIPS technology to its Star helmet, Qualifier DLX and MX-9 Adventure models (pictured top).

The helmets feature the latest technology MIPS, which stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System, and this allows the internals of the helmet to rotate slightly – slip-plane-technology – to reduce rotational forces which are found in most types of impact. Bell has also added MIPS to its Moto-9 dirt helmet, “creating the most technologically sophisticated line up available today”.

Other helmets in the Bell range include their latest flex protection system. Flex is designed to reduce low, mid and high speed impacts, reduce rotational impacts and also has six moving pieces of EPO to offer an adaptive fit.

New helmet ranges for 2018 will be the RS-2 (second picture), SRT and SRT Modular all showing next level technology. Bell also has new colours and graphics for 2018.
