Every year British people give £10bn to charity and the UK is ranked sixth in the World Giving Index compiled by the Charities Aid Foundation. Research shows that 64% of the population give to good causes, so most of the people reading this will already donate to charity. And it isn’t only individuals who support worthy causes. In boardrooms across the country Corporate Social Responsibility – giving something back to the community – is a buzzword.
